OneNote Can Centralize Your Documentation
OneNote is an insanely powerful tool that everyone has access to but few actually use. OneNote has a multi step startup process and can be intimidating at first. If you aren’t using it, you are robbing yourself!
In our environment, OneNote has become a central documentation store, an essential part of our DR plan, and a go to for solutions. We use it to store common scripts and tools as well. Technicians, in the field, can quickly search and find the answers that they need from their phone. Our current projects and workload are stored as tasks. This makes it very easy to show others what we have done and to self-document work. I have even seen some places using it for central password storage.
The notes below are from a class that I taught for end users. It, along with the resources at the end, can be used to get up to speed quickly.
Once you are comfortable with OneNote, modify this guide and train your staff! If you have any questions or need a little help, use the contact button in the top right of this page to email me.
Hi,
Stupid question, but how to install OneNote. Is it a built in App ? I dont see it after Windows Installation nor office 2019 installation ( maybe i blocked it by GPO). Does it require Microsoft account to share content ?
